history

In 1826, settlers arrived at Maramec Spring to start the first successful Ironworks west of the Mississippi River. Remains of the ironworks tell us the deep history this Park holds.

Fishing

The stream is restocked every day during fishing season from the 100,000 trout produced by the hatchery each year. Fishing at Maramec Spring Park is a relaxing and fun experience for everyone.

Maramec spring is the fifth largest in Missouri, and pumps 100 million gallons of fresh water a day! Enjoy the stunning emerald water from a walkway around the spring.
